Do you offer make up lessons?
Ideally, you will never need a make-up lesson since consistency is key to swimming progress. Please honour the spirit of this privilege and only use it for illness or an occasional special event.
Students are eligible for make-up lessons if the absence is reported via the Customer Portal or App 1hrs prior to class.
Availability of make-up lessons is not guaranteed.
Make-up lessons expire after 45 days & at the end of term.

Yes. We check the temperature daily to ensure the water is perfect for swimmers.
Is the pool covered?
Yes, we offer the only fully covered pool in Townsville. Swim in the shade year round.
Is the public allowed in the pool area?
No. The general public is not allowed into the pool area. The pool and pool area are for exclusive use for Aqua Jets swimmers & and their family only.
What is your wet weather policy?
Classes will only be cancelled in the event of a thunderstorm with lightning in close proximity to the pool or severe cyclonic weather. Classes will continue as scheduled in wet weather / rain.
Townsville Aqua Jets Swimming Club may be required to cancel the class or re-schedule the class time as a safety precaution once lessons have commenced. If a lesson has completed more than 50% of the class time, no make-up will be given. We will endeavour to arrange a make-up lesson for those swimmers whose classes have been cancelled.
We make every effort to contact families via email and our app to keep them abreast of the situation. Please do not assume that your class has been cancelled, check the app or call to verify.
How do I pay my fees?
All fee payments must be made via the customer portal. Available payment methods include bank direct debit or credit card.

Yes we offer private lessons – it’s a great way to fine tune skills or catch up after long periods of time without lessons. These can be arranged at a time suitable for you so please get in touch.
Do you operate all year-round?
We offer a learn to swim and squad program that runs in line with the school term. Swimmers need to re-book at the beginning of every term.
The continuity of lessons play a crucial role in your child’s learning and development of swimming and water safety. This is why we encourage year round participation and offer holiday programs during the school holidays.
